HOW LONG PERMANENT MAKE-UP LASTS?

Results vary depending on skin type, lifestyle and metabolism. Microblading will last between 8 and 18 months, and digitally applied pigment will last 12 to 24 months. In general, more oily skin types will break down the pigment faster with dry skin maintaining the colour for longer.  It is important you follow the advised aftercare to protect your brows during the healing process and continue to apply an SPF to avoid fading. This is a maintenance guideline, if you choose not to continue with permanent makeup some pigment may still be left in the skin.

DOES IT HURT?

You may experience some slight discomfort, but on the whole most clients do not find the procedures painful. Topical anaesthetics may be applied to the area.

HOW LONG DO THESE PROCEDURES TAKE?

Your initial appointment will be approx 2 hours, but please be advised a large proportion of this time will be spent mapping out the desired shape and prepping the area. Any needles/blades will only be in contact with the skin for a relatively short time.

HOW LONG WILL THE AREA TAKE TO HEAL?

Initial healing will take approx 2 weeks. In this time you will be following your aftercare regime which includes applying a protective balm. This balm will stop a scab forming to ensure brows do not look unsightly during this time. Colour may appear darker in this period as the pigment is at the surface of the skin. The healed colour will be lighter.

WILL I NEED AN ALLERGY TEST?

A scratch test will be performed during your consultation.

I HAVE HAD PREVIOUS PERMANENT MAKE UP, CAN I STILL BE TREATED?

In some cases previous permanent make up will need to be removed with laser. Some light work may be covered or corrected.

CAN I HAVE THESE PROCEDURES DONE IF I AM PREGNANT OR BREAST FEEDING?

You cannot have this procedure if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.

ARE THERE ANY SIDE EFFECTS?

You will be sent pre treatment advice to follow to minimise any side effects and reduce any bleeding. You may experience some redness, tenderness or itching post treatment.
